This is my first fall in Florida in 4 years. I spent 20 falls in Florida, from birth, never saw those fall leaves......And when I was 20 I got up and explored. Maine, my first victim. I was like a child at a fair. I took it all in, amazed, upset I had missed the beauty of fall in New England my whole life.

Fall in Florida...well, it meant that my tan wouldnt get darker, but the waves would get better. It would get cooler some days, and most days not. Cool mornings let to warmer noons. I remember loving that first morning to wear a sweater. Then I would have to take it off in a hour or too.

I never had to struggle as a kid on halloween, I could wear the skimpiest halloween costume and be fine. New Englanders have to warm up. My son had to wear coats over his halloween costume.

I miss the smell of Maine in the fall. The crisp air....it smelt like a fresh herb garden

It is weird you dont to see those purple, red, orange and yellow fall leaves here in Florida. U dont see the stands on the side of the road selling apple cider, apples, and pumpkins......

Just aint fall to me. Funny how it was before. Before I saw fall leaves. Fall in Florida, 20 years straight, hidden from the beauty of chill foggy mornings, and it brought fall leaves gently falling to the ground making a blanket on the forest floor for the snow to come.

20 years, it took. As a Little Flordia native, hidden from the fall. When it was cool outside yesterday, I got all excited thinking hey.....

IT IS FALL! (minus the leaves)

I need a vacation 1600 miles north, anyone wanna pick me up?
