Fucking blue turtle shells!
Ooookay so I called the financial aid office this morning (actually I was nervous and got confused and called the fax number a couple of times first lololol) and they definitely are doing work study over the summer! And I definitely am approved for full-time work study! So I'm going to have like a zillion hours of work a week, soon! I just don't know exactly where. I checked in the library and the guy there said the lady who's in charge of hiring won't be there until tomorrow, but he thought they had already gotten a couple of people. So my chances were "50/50 or less", which is something of a bummer, but that's just one place. Surely somewhere on campus has room for one more full-time person. I haven't even gotten my paper in the mail yet, which I think should have a list of departments that hire, so tomorrow I'll get up early and call the library and the English department, and if those fall through I'll wait for my letter and see what that says, I guess. So YAY, hopefully soon I will have a job that I don't totally hate and be receiving a pretty good amount of money for said job.
Unfortch, my dear boyfriend has not had the same luck with school-jobs and is going to have to go look for a regular job soon. I hope he finds something he likes and where they treat him right... last summer he worked at the gas station where his sister is manager and he hated it, so he deserves somewhere that isn't totally shitty.
In also-sucky news, my Wii is busted! I checked the Nintendo site and looked up my problem and it was all "omg hax, send ur wii in 4 fixins plz". So I'm waiting for them to mail me the UPS shipping label and instructions, and hopefully they won't expect me to send it in the original box because I totally don't have that anymore. When I had to return my iPod they sent me a box to send it in, so maybe Nintendo will do that too?
Erggg, I feel like I am kind of at an impasse because I've done all I can do for today and still don't have it all taken care of, but on the other hand this might be one of my last days of jobless laziness for a while so I guess I should enjoy it!
