Archie starts by dragging the unconscious, and not too battered brawlers into the cells as efficiently as he can, starting with the couple in the jumpsuits the first woman had pointed out as the instigators, putting them in cells opposite each other, and heading out for more.

Jack is not a happy camper. His head hurts, his foot hurts...and he's had not fudge for hours now!

As a result, the glare he gives Danny as his head snaps around is particularly venomous. "Ghost kid!"

"Let's see..."

"Well, you're a ghost!" Jack breaks in.

"...there's that time you held the Mayor hostage..."

"And you're a ghost!"

"...then the robberies when Circus Gothica came to town..."

"And you're a ghost!"

"...then the theft of the Fenton Ecto-Skeleton..."

"And you're a GHOST!"

Perhaps the lies flavored things a little too strongly. Or maybe it was just prejudice. Both Fentons seemed less than convinced.

"And we should just believe you because..." Maddie's voice trailed off dangerously.

"Yeah! It's not like ghosts can be trusted!" Jack says scornfully. And rather pompously, as well.

Maddie looked at him for a long moment. If she was honest, Phantom's behavior had been inconsistant in their own world - wreaking havoc one minute, saving the day the next. And, when you came right down to it, he wasn't human! You just couldn't trust him like you would a human.

The look in his eyes, though...it pulled at her heart like...

She shoved the feeling away. Ghosts were masters of manipulation, after all.

"I'll go with the evidence I see for myself, thank you."
