Jack's read the report on the incident, as well as Rachel's note about curses being lifted. As Mel was busy watching over her sister, Jack had agreed to ask a few questions in her place.
"Billy Batson?" he asks, approaching the cell, his face a careful blank.
Jack's watching Billy's reaction carefully, and at least as it pertains to his own personal security, it's encouraging. Not so much for Billy's mental health, though.
"My name's Jack Bauer. I need to ask you a few questions. Mind if I come in?" he asks. He doesn't have to ask, obviously, but sometimes showing a little courtesy to someone you're questioning--depending on who they are and what they've done--can help.

"Yes."
His voice is quiet, raspy almost. As he moves, he drags the banket back into place, trying to cover the scars and his skin.

"O-okay."
He takes a few breaths, trying to just relax, bury any panic, any fear. It didnt work so well.
He breathes for a few minutes and watches Jack.
