Those heading to the Infirmary in search of Steph may be surprised and pleased to find her bed empty.

Of course, if they look around they'll realise she hasn't actually been released; she's just decided her own bed wasn't what she wantedNow she's stretched out atop the covers on the one just to its left, cuddled against a tired and pale fire ( Read more... )

Well, there's pillow from her own bed on her feet.

'M just sayin'.

Why's there a pillow there? Weird place for it.

Steph peers at it. Iiiiiinteresting.

To stop them getting cold, of course. It's a very pillowy pillow. Fluffed and insulating and everything. Yep.

It'd be a good place to sit, too. If someone wanted to sit there. Of course, there's the risk of being kicked.

Might be a good place to sit. And it's not like kick risks been anything to someone with super Slayer powers, is it?

'Course there may be risk of wakig Robins or Flamethrowers.

Waking Flamethrowers might get you scowled at by Robins. But waking Robins is A-OK. Sleep's kinda boring once you've had enough of it, it's just that it's less boring than staring at the walls.

It wouldn't get you very hard kicks, if you were a super Slayer.

But scowling Robins is cute. Or something.

Anyway, there will be Slayer sitting on a Robin's feet just as soon as she figures out how to displace this ninja ex-turtle from her lap without waking him.

Aaaany minute now.

Seriously.

Displacing warm, sleepy ninjas is hard, Steph's learning. They're cuddly and good to have around.

Sometimes you've just gotta kick 'em off.

If anyone kicks hers she won't be impressed, though.

Kicking Steph's is probably more fun, though. If you're the kind of spun adrenaline-junky who gets kicks out of making the upper clases breathe fire but also happen to be completely and utterly helpless in the face of recently human kicked-puppy eyes.

And who isn't rendered helpless by those?

Well, exactly. And Steph's just doesn't do kicked-puppy eyes. So this hypothetical adrenaline junkie is safe from those. Not safe, necessarily, from becoming tomorrow's roast, but safe from kicked-puppy eyes.

Kicking Mel's wouldn't lead to being roasted, although it might, one could hypothesise, lead to being skewered.

The question really is how one would prefer to be served.

It depends who0 was doing the kicking, really. The last thing that kicked Mel and got skewered was about twice her height and was kicking her with crazy clawed dinosaur feet.

Kicking her with cold naked Robin feet wouldn't get Steph skewered. It might get big blue irritated eyes though, if the kicking should dislodge the pillow Mel was so thoughtful to put there.

Steph's rather fond of the pillow. It's warming her feet up nicely. Not everyone's lucky enough to have a nice warm pillow like that. She wouldn't waste it by kicking it away.

And Mel's not really close enough to kick at without dislodging the pillow.

It's a dilemma, right enough.

Not everyone's lucky enough to have a sister cares enough to supply pillows when they're sneaking out of their beds to snuggle with ninjas.

Mel just understands the need to ninja snuggle very very well.

OK, really dislodging the ninja now. Really.

Operation Dislodge Ninja is rather entertaining to watch. Mel's efforts are observed through sleepy half-closed eyes.

Steph's glad hers doesn't need dislodging just yet.

Mel strongly suspects her ninja isn't asleep.

No sleepy ninja should be able to grab on so tightly. Or to sleepily shift into awkward positions just when she thinks she's nearly free, letting her have on hand only to snuggle up against the other.

Stupid ninja.

Steph isn't laughing at them. That'd mean she'd have to wake up from her pleasant pillowy dream-haze. But there's definitely a lip-twitch of amusment going on.

Mel's ninja is a very sneaky ninja.
