Wellard looks... Well, 'prognosis good', even if it has only been a few days. Much better doctoring this time around, it can certainly be said.

When he is awake and focused, he has had The Scarlet Pimpernel to read, as a gift from Amy. When he has still not been thinking over quite a few other things.

Quite a few other things.

Tom has not met Wellard, but he's heard of his perilous brush with Blodwen. He takes a moment to stop by the infirmary to give the young man his regards.

"Good day. Are you well enough for visitation?"

"... Well enough, I've had other visitors." Wellard nods slowly, looking at Tom carefully.

He has a bit of reason to be a bit more careful around strangers, now- but rather justifiably so.

He does not step further into the room before letting the lad know who he is.

"I'm Tom Riddle, Lord Ostium of the House of Arch. I understand you were attacked by Blodwen Rowlands. I was, as well, around the turn of the year."

"... When she was doing something to Miss Mary, then disappeared?" He bites his lip, then nods slowly. "The Commodore said others had been, then."

A quiet moment, then another nod to Tom. "My name is Wellard, Henry Wellard." His lips twitch with a faint smile. "Formerly of His Majesty's Ship the Renown, late of the West Indies."

"It's good to meet you, Wellard," he says, stepping forward. "Yes, the incident with Miss Mary occurred at roughly the same time. I'm not sure I know the Commodore, though."

"Ah- Merriman Lyon." Wellard smiles, amused. "I just met him first as the Commodore, though a few others here know him as a professor, as well."

"He's known as Professor to me."

Or as Merlin, but Tom tries not to dwell on that overly much. It's still hard to wrap his mind around.

"It's good to know he's been aiding you. Merriman is an important ally for anyone who wishes to fight the White Rider."

Wellard can second that, certainly.

"... I knew him before all of this, for the most part. I- I didn't know anything about Mrs Rowlands being this White Rider, or... that there were such things here." He bites his lip, thinking.

"There are indeed, I'm afraid. She's not the first, nor do I think she'll be the last, but she might be the most deadly."

"... I wouldn't argue that." Quietly.

"Do excuse me. I didn't mean to bring more dire predictions to your sick room. You are feeling better, though?"

"Its quite alright, Lord Ostium." Wellard nods.

"A bit, yet. ... It rather helps to have a doctor that... knows what he is doing, I do believe."

"Which doctor is assisiting you?" He thankfully hasn't been in the infirmary very much. The only healers he knows in Milliways are Moiraine and Simon. Perhaps it would be wise for him to know more.

"A doctor Tam- I hadn't met him before all of this, however." Wellard tended to avoid doctors, but considering the sawbones of his own time, that could be expected.

"I know him. You're in good hands, I should say. He's a fine, fine doctor."

Tom will still rely on healers, if given the choice.

"Better than I have known, certainly." Still a bit wry, but Wellard is beyond thankful Simon does not believe in addictive painkillers.

He bites his lip, thinking for a moment. "Its been mentioned to me that something did happen around the beginning of the year, and Mrs Rowlands left- but not what did happen."
