This is essentially how every battle Mia's fought in canon runs since the shared inventory isn't an option on the battle menu for SSSC. She, like all of the characters, has twelve inventory slots, the top six being for items she wears and carries in her hands and the bottom six being what's in her pockets. Having beaten the game in this incarnation at least twice, this is typically how I strive to equip her:
Top: Her Top Cane/Her Top Robe/Her Top Headgear/Shiro Tail/Healing Ring/Angel Ring
Aside from her top equiptables, the Shiro Tail increases agility so that she takes her turn faster, the Healing Ring is exactly what it says on the tin, and an Angel Ring can revive the person wearing it after fainting. Healing Nuts restore, at Mia's likely level at that point in the game, somewhere around 1/3-1/2 of her health, Silver Lights completely restore any spent magic, and the Angel Tear can revive a fallen comrade.
The strategy here for her to save the world i.e. defeat Ghaleon is to cast spells to up everyone's attack and defense and then spam the hell outta Flameria, her top fire attack, and doing what she can to keep herself/others alive.
As far as Milliways goes, she does keep most of this world-savin' gear in her pockets, so it would likely be the same strategy, except it would likely be Star Lights instead of Silver Lights, as they're not as expensive and she's not planning on saving the world again right now.
