Christ-Centred!!!
Yesterday was the second day of CNY! I dragged myself out of bed in noon due to my swollen right eye! I have no choice but to wear specs out! So not use to it because i am too use to wear contact lense when i go out. But never mind, Jesus is with me! Haha...so i begin to speak to my swollen right eye:" You have no rights to stay in the Temple of the Holy one, you are a lying sympton from devil, in Jesus name, i command you to leave!" Then i saw Jesus on the cross with my right swollen eye... Thank you Jesus!!
We watch the movie "Left behind" at Sherman's place. The movie is about end times, during the period of tribulation when Anti-Christ rule over the earth. So many horrible things happen during that time - 666 contaminate all the bibles with poison, war, famine, people suffering etc. Where were we at that time? Raptured!! Probably looking down from Heaven? So give your life to Jesus if you have not do so!! Anyway, the movie is a good one! The emphasis is placed so much on our Lord Jesus Christ! I almost teared at the part when Bruce died. He was one of the Christians during that time who kena the poison from the contaminated bible. Before he went home to Heaven, he has a revelation of breaking bread and wine to save all the Christians infected by that poison! When the Christians partook the holy communion, they are healed!! Wow... see the power of the Broken Body and the Holy Blood of our Lord Jesus!! There is a lot more exciting part in the movie. One of them -the President of US fight against 666 with the support from Jesus!!
After i left Sherman's place, i went to buy a birthday cake from tampines to surprise my mum! Haha... i brought the cake to my aunt's place and celebrate with her. She was so embarrass to let all the relatives know about her birthday. But can see that she was happy!! Yesterday, i started to talk to one of my cousins and also my secondary school friends whom i have not talk to them for quite some time. I believe the Lord is drawing them nearer to Him!! Yea... Praise Jesus!! Ok, time to share on the powerful revelation on sunday:
Love of Christ for us
Rev 1:5-6 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has set us free from our sins by His blood, and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father--to Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. From this verse, Pastor gave us three points to take note: (1) He thought of us even before we are born. (2) He visited us because He loves us and he came down from where He was. (3) His love suffered for us.
Act 20:8-12 There were many lamps in the room upstairs where we were assembled, and a young man named Eutychus was sitting on a window sill and sank into a deep sleep as Paul kept on speaking. When he was overcome by sleep he fell down from the third storey, and was picked up dead. But Paul went down, threw himself on him, embraced him, and said, "Don't be alarmed, for his life is in him!" After going upstairs, breaking the bread, and eating, he conversed a considerable time until dawn. Then he left. They brought the boy home alive and were greatly comforted. In the context, the third storey signifies third heaven - the highest place. The sky is first heaven; universe is second heaven. Eutychus in Greek means good fortune. Good fortunate fell from heaven? Blessings fell from heaven? NO!! It does not mean that! Let us look at the story with the aid of a picture:
The many lamps in the room at third storey signify the Third Heaven is filled with light of glory. The young man Eutychus fell asleep while Paul is preaching and he fell down from third storey and died. Haha … was telling you not to sleep when the Pastor is preaching!! Joking lah!! Go ahead and sleep but remember to pay offerings when you wake for the comfortable seat! - Quoted from Pastor Prince. Ok… come back! This is a picture of us taking our eyes off Jesus. Devil’s trick is to come to you and point you to yourself. Devil succeeds when you take your eyes off Jesus and focus on self. When we take our eyes off Jesus and focus on self, we fell from Third Heaven! Woo… look at what happen later on… Paul as a picture of Jesus, came down from upstairs third storey, threw himself on him, embraced him, and said, "Don't be alarmed, for his life is in him!" Oh.. what does Paul mean "his life is in him?" When the youth died, he told the people that the youth's life is inside him? Ok.. who dwells inside us today? Yes.. is Holy Spirit! Further confirmation from amplified version states that "his life is within him". You can find a parallel meaning of within in Isa63:11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying: "Where is He who brought them up out of the sea With the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them. Wow… I love it!! Really love it!! Jesus came down from Third Heaven, THREW Himself on us, EMBRACED us, and said,” Don’t be afraid, My Spirit is in you!” Wah… I am out of words when I saw this!! Read on and look at what happen to the boy… he was restored to life by Paul through the Holy Spirit! The boy, a picture of us, went home greatly comforted and cheered and refreshed and encouraged. (Amplified version) Woo… do u know the reason for Eutychus as good fortune? Even when we take our eyes off Jesus, we are still HIGHLY FAVOURED, GREATLY BLESSED and DEEPLY LOVED!! Jesus still come down from Third Heaven to EMBRACE and COMFORTS us!! He gives us RESURRECTED LIFE!!! I AM EXCITED!!!
As Christ is, so are we in this world
1Jo 4:17-18 In this, love is perfected with us so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; as Christ is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love. They key to the message: As Christ is, so are we in this world. It is not about our feelings which go up and down. Don’t trust feelings, trust Christ. God himself has make Jesus Christ me! God sees u in Him, Is Christ pleasing to God? If so, God sees my identity in Christ. Today, He is seated there to be us. Life will treat us whatever Jesus deserve. God is not measuring you by you, He is measuring you by Christ!
1Co 1:30-31 But from Him you are in Christ Jesus, who for us became wisdom from God, as well as righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, in order that, as it is written: The one who boasts must boast in the Lord. From the verse, we can see that Jesus is our wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption!! All suffering and pain which we undergo today is because we look inward to self and not to Christ. Unshakable peace is base on performance? No. It is base on Jesus Christ! Anything base on man is a sure lose! Christ has come to become us, to become what we cannot be! We are effective when we are nothing but Christ is everything. Be occupied with Christ, the word of the living God, the perfect word of the son of God! Focus on Jesus is just like putting investment in a company. This God Company always rises in shares! Study the company and find out more. It is the simple thing that is most powerful. What Paul preaches? He preaches so much about who Christ is. In Him, through Him, by Him, all that He has, I am! Humility is not thinking lowly about yourself, it is thinking everything in Christ! Not looking at your faith. True faith is unconscious. It is not about your faith in Christ. Look at His grace and He shall see your faith. Fix your eyes on Him!
Christ make us safe
Every time when we receive revelation and baptism from the Spirit, the blessings come left, right and centre. But sometimes, why we could not receive? God loves us too much to give us more when He knew that we cannot handle. So, how to enlarge my capacity to handle? They key is: PUT JESUS FIRST!!! When your heart is full of Jesus, the things just come. When Jesus became your pre-occupation, everything attracts. When Jesus become everything in your life, you become safe for everything. God trust you with more! Pastor Prince gave us an example by using himself. Do you know that until now, Pastor does not know the number of members in the church? He doesn’t care!! Even if there is no church, it does not matter!! Because his heart is full of Jesus!! And see the result… Pastor focus on Jesus and the church grow tremendously!! When you humble yourself with the mighty hand of God, God exalt us in dew time. When He sees that we are safe for next level, He brings us higher!!
