Root of Devil's Weapon Revealed: Condemnation!
I have not updated my journal for quite sometimes. I have always wanted to update pastor's powerful revelation on devil's condemnation, but always don't have time. Now I know the reason! Abba wanted me to accumulate and share in a series! And so, I have accumulated the revelation on last bible study, last sunday service and this week's bible study TOGETHER! It is REALLY POWERFUL!! MUST READ!!!
The vision of a dying plant which the Lord has given pastor is illustrated above. Haha... the drawing may not be as nice but Jesus say its nice! Sounds like Jessica ah! It is foolish for devil to attack the leaves. Devil does not deal with the superficial, he attacks the root! What is the first name of Satan? Satan is the accuser, the prosecutor at law, the king of deception. All the dead leaves are the manifestation of curses. However, we are still uncovering the superficial or deeper a little - stress and fear. Jesus wants us to kill it at its very root-condemnation!
Fall of Adam and Eve
Let us go to the beginning and dive right into Genesis3 to find out why the root is condemnation. We shall track from the back of Genesis3.In Gen3:22-24 The LORD God said, "Since man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil, he must not reach out, and also take from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever." So the LORD God sent him away from the garden of Eden to work the ground from which he was taken. He drove man out, and east of the garden of Eden He stationed cherubim with a flaming, whirling sword to guard the way to the tree of life. In Gen3:12-21, we see that Adam and Eve were stress when God found out that they eat from the tree of KG&E (Knowledge of Good and Evil). They were stress when God curse the ground and Adam has to eat bread by the sweat of his brow until he return to the ground. The first root of the dying plant illustrate the stress of Adam and Eve. Let us touch on the second root in Gen3:10-11 And he said, "I heard You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid."Then He asked, "Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat from the tree that I had commanded you not to eat from?" Yes... Adam and Eve were filled with fear when they heard God. But who told them they were naked? Devil told them NOT God! God only wants Adam to have the knowledge of good NOT evil. Come to the same question again - what is wrong with knowing good and evil? Read on...
Here is the deepest root of the weapon of devil in Gen3:6-9 Then the woman saw that the tree was good for food and delightful to look at, and that it was desirable for obtaining wisdom. So she took some of its fruit and ate it; she also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves. Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden at the time of the evening breeze, and they hid themselves from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. So the LORD God called out to the man and said to him, "Where are you?". After Adam and Eve partook of the fruit from the tree of KG&E, they are more concern about their shame than their sin against God. God does not want man to be conscious about themselves. God wants them to enjoy Him! Once they have the conscious of knowing good and evil, it will cause them to be condemn. When they are conscious of this thing, it is like 2-edged sword, most of the time they will be in condemnation. Why does God ask Adam: “where are you” when he sin? You mean God cannot see them? Yes… Some things God cannot see - the sins of believer because we are covered by the blood of Jesus!! But in the context, why God cannot see? Pastor submits to us that God really cannot see Adam when he sin! God cannot see someone under condemnation. God cannot hear the level of condemnation because of the different frequency. Today God ask:”Where are we?” We say:”In Christ Jesus!” Abba cannot see our flesh of sin, He sees our Spirit!
So what are the tatics which Satan adopt to tempt Adam and Eve to eat the fruit from the tree of KG&E? This can be seen in Gen3:1-5 Now the serpent was the most cunning of all the wild animals that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did God really say, 'You can't eat from any tree in the garden'?" The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit from the trees in the garden. But about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God said, 'You must not eat it or touch it, or you will die.'" "No! You will not die," the serpent said to the woman."In fact, God knows that when you eat it your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Devil give Adam and Eve a mistaken identity by telling them that if they eat from the tree of KG&E, they become like God. He is already like God. Devil is trying to tell them that God is holding back on something. This is the temptation for first Adam. Let us look at the temptation of last Adam, our perfect Adam - Jesus!! In Luk4:1-13, after Jesus got baptized in the Spirit, devil came to tempt him in doing things to prove that He is the son of God. Jesus has overcome all the temptations!!
Fig tree and leaves speaks of condemnation because of the sin which Adam and eve committed in the Garden of Eden. This can be seen in Gen3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made loincloths for themselves. When Jesus walk on earth, see how He curse the fig tree in Mar11:13-14, 20-23 Seeing in the distance a fig tree with leaves, He went to find out if there was anything on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. He said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again!" And His disciples heard it. Early in the morning, as they were passing by, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots up. Then Peter remembered and said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree that You cursed is withered." Jesus replied to them, "Have faith in God. I assure you: If anyone says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Woo… I love it!! Jesus is telling us to use our faith to remove the fig tree (condemnation) and we shall receive the blessings from God!!
Pastor illustrates how devil bring condemnation into Christian life by the following story: Angie’s heart is tender. For Angie, the make-up set is very precious and she does not want to share it with her friends. Devil knew that Angie has a tender heart and this is when he comes to Angie and tell her:” Call yourself a Christian? You are not even willing to share your make-up set with your friends.” When Angie buys what the devil accuse her for, she begins to felt guilty and condemn. After the whole thing, she met her bf and they quarrel because of a small issue (not related to the make-up set). This gives an illustration that angry people usually deep down in their heart they feel condemn. And they usually flare up to the people closest to them.
Devil has no other weapon than condemnation. He cannot make us sick apart from condemnation. We have to receive the condemnation to allow the sickness to manifest.
Bullets for the Weapon Condemnation - Law
I have a revelation of how devil use condemnation and law together. Since pastor say that condemnation is the only weapon which devil has, it reminds us of man's wife in army - M16 Rifle! Haha.. Devil only have M16 and he needs bullet to fire from this weapon. In this context, the laws are the bullets used to load into the M16 condemnation rifle!! There are 10 famous bullets or more - 10 Commandments or 613 Commandments for Torah.
So how does law facilitate condemnation? 1Cor15:56 Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. If Adam never sin, there will not be sting of death. The power of sin is law. We can see this in Romans 7 when Paul struggle with sin and law. Rom7:19-21 For I do not do the good that I want to do, but I practice the evil that I do not want to do. Now if I do what I do not want, I am no longer the one doing it, but it is the sin that lives in me. So I discover this principle: when I want to do good, evil is with me. From this, we can see that condemnation isn’t something very clear. The open door the light of victory is in Rom8:1-4 Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus, because the Spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. What the law could not do since it was limited by the flesh, God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending His own Son in flesh like ours under sin's domain, and as a sin offering, in order that the law's requirement would be accomplished in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. In 2Cor3:6-9, it mentions that what is minister out of law is DEATH!! Yea… the ministry of righteousness reigns!
Pastor shared a verse which is very powerful in Col2:14-15 Blotting out the handwriting of the ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross; and having principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. In the context of this verse, we see that God has disarmed devil’s weapon - the law. When Jesus was nailed to the cross, we can’t see it. All we can see is the inscription in Joh19:19 Pilate also had a sign lettered and put on the cross. The inscription was: JESUS THE NAZARENE THE KING OF THE JEWS. God has invisibility nailed the law. How can anyone nail the law? God wrote it, it is His law and He can do it. God nailed the law because Jesus is the payment for all the violated law. It is nailed because in those days, when they nail something means the contract is finish. Now, we can use Isa54 to rebuke all the condemnation and judgement from devil!! In Isa54:17 No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgement I shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me says the Lord.
Ultimate Weapon from Our Lord Jesus
Our Identity
Before Adam and Eve felt codemn, they have a mistaken identity of themselves and allow devil to tempt them. Today, we are the beloved child of Abba because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross! We see this in Rom8:15-16 For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father!" The Spirit Himself testifies together with our spirit that we are God's children.
Witness of the Holy Spirit
On Sunday service, Pastor share on the witness of the Holy Spirit in Heb10:9-18 He then says, See, I have come to do Your will. He takes away the first to establish the second. By this will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all. Now every priest stands day after day ministering and offering time after time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. He is now waiting until His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are sanctified. The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. For after He had said: This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws on their hearts, and I will write them on their minds, He adds: I will never again remember their sins and their lawless acts. Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.Pastor also share on Romans1-7 is the work of Christ for us! Romans8 is the work of Christ in us!
Blood of Jesus
There is many function of the blood of Jesus. Last time before Pastor was pastor, he did relieve teaching on a group of primary school students. That time, he thought that the blood is for protection only and he proclaim the blood protection on the students. Remember that time there is this Adrain Lim kidnap issue and one of the students was kidnap. That time, the girl’s face (the student) keeps appearing on Pastor’s mind and he proclaims blood protection on her. Guess what? She was the only child got release out of all the children who were kidnap. She told the press that when Adrain was doing the ritual, their "god" say that they don’t want her. Wow... See how powerful the blood is? Is not that the "god" don’t want her, is that the "god" cannot have her because she is covered with the blood of Jesus. Yes… the blood of Jesus is protection. But let us look at what Jesus say on the night when he was betray in Mat26:27 Then He took a cup, and after giving thanks, He gave it to them and said, "Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood that establishes the covenant; it is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. So what is the powerful thing about the blood that makes the blood of Jesus what it is. Let us see Rev12:10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: The salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Messiah have now come, because the accuser of our brothers has been thrown out: the one who accuses them before our God day and night. They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they did not love their lives in the face of death. This statement is made by the angels. They call us brothers and call the devil accuser. When the accuser has no power on our life then the power of Christ will manifest in our life! How to overcome? By the blood of Jesus!! Powerful!!
Faith Rifle
When Jesus walks on earth, many touch Him but none caught His attention EXCEPT a woman in Mar5:30-34 At once Jesus realized in Himself that power had gone out from Him. He turned around in the crowd and said, "Who touched My robes?" His disciples said to Him, "You see the crowd pressing against You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?'" So He was looking around to see who had done this. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came with fear and trembling, fell down before Him, and told Him the whole truth. "Daughter," He said to her, "your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be free from your affliction." Woo… she has the faith of Abraham, a faith that believes God justified the ungodly! In what ground? Ground of the shed blood of Jesus!! Jesus gives the gift of no condemnation to empower people to sin no more. If we use this gift to live in sin, we are deceiving ourselves!
Hahaha... hope that I did not turn the whole message into a war zone! In fact, we are constantly in spiritual warfare against the devil! Guess what? We do not have to fight! We have victory over the war 2000 years ago when Jesus defeated Satan on the cross!! All we have to do is to enforce the victory!! All glory to Jesus!!!
