"Inside in the hall there was piled a large assortment of packages and parcels and small articles of furniture. On every item there was a label tied.... Bilbo's residence had got rather cluttered up with things in the course of his long life. It was a tendency of hobbit-holes to get cluttered up: for which the custom of giving so many birthday-presents was largely responsible."
An even better custom is an annual sale of unwanted goods, and although history has failed to record the presence of garage or car boot sales in the Shire (not surprising in the absence of garages and boots), we can assure you that Bag End's sitting-room is cluttered with items large and small bearing labels "written out personally" by Frodo. You can see from Sam's stance in the icon that his master's problem is causing him some distress, and it's a Very Good Thing that a team of writers is prepared to help Sam clean Frodo's hole.
Volunteers have been given an item (or items) to do with as they please and so far no one has blocked Frodo's gate with barrows and handcarts or caused a disturbance in the hall. If all goes well, stories will be posted from 14 February (Valentine's Day!) until 29 February (Bissextile Day!).
