Waymeet Take Five Challenge
The holidays are over, and we can now, as they call it, Take Five!
This is the first time we've done anything of this sort, but we believe it needs little explanation. Briefly --- writers were asked to choose from supplied prompts with the intention of writing either a single story using all 'five things' or a series of interlocking vignettes; whatever it took to form a coherent whole. The same went for our resident artists via the medium of their choice. Reminder: For this challenge the minimum word count is 500, and the maximum is whatever you can cram into a single LJ post.
Some prompts were chosen to extend the holiday spirit into the New Year, others are intended to amuse and still others to open up possibilities never considered before. To whet your appetites, a small selection:
Five Yule gifts Frodo gives to Sam.
Five letters Sam wrote to Frodo but never sent.
Five things Elijah did to convince Sean that he loved him.
Five things Dom can do with his tongue.
Five things Pippin brought home from Minas Tirith.
Five heroic names Bilbo gave his sword before he settled on Sting.
The challenge will run from 8 January to 31 January. Prompts are still available, and if you're not yet a member of waymeet but you find this challenge tempting, please consider becoming a member.
