Almost the October entry

Oct 31, 2009 20:38

With the most kindly indulgence of our gracious mods, I am posting the second chapter of News from Bree, which does not contain my ROTK quote as I once thought it would. The third chapter, however, which will be up in a few days, will. *pinky-swears*

Title: New from Bree, Chapter Two
Author: Elderberry Wine
Pairing: Baggins/Gamgee

This was a delightful chapter--I particularly enjoyed their tender encounters! Can't wait for the next one!

;) Baggins has such a soft heart under that cool exterior. And Gamgee knows exactly how to get to it. A good pair.

Thank you so much! The next is more than half written and should be up by the end of the week.

Oh no, Sam! *pets him*

Well, he might feel foolish, but I have a feeling that falling at the feet of a Ranger isn't going to turn out to be a bad thing (plus Frodo can tenderly take care of him). Can't wait for part three.

Aha! - you guessed my sinister scheme! Yes, Baggins is quite good at H&C, and Strider will eventually overcome his initial impression of poor Sam. ;D

Thank you! Part Three will be up by the end of the week.

I love to write about cold weather, especially when it's hot. And Bree is clearly in the "Frodo, I don't think we're in the Shire anymore!" category. But at least they still have hot baths, so it isn't entirely end of civilization as our hobbits know it.

Thank you, and poor Sam will manage to redeem himself! ;D

My goodness, that's a lot of reading! :)

You're right, this one will go at least 5 chapters if not more. There's quite a number of pieces to put together. Thank you!

I like the contrast of the cold weather and the hot bat tub. I'm glad that they have finally gotten to be alone. I like Sam's drunken encounter with the ranger. Good, strong ale will do that.

That and an empty stomach. *delicate cough*

the voice of sad experience. . .

Why, thank you very much for reading and commenting! Not to worry, they will manage some way to find themselves alone as frequently as I can manage. Sam would kill me otherwise. ;)
