That episode made me realize that Blythe and Wilson have a lot in common, with their ability to appear to be what they aren't, and to hide so much, manipulate people so well -- and to love House no matter what.
You are right; they do and I really hadn't thought about it until you pointed it out. If Wilson, who appears so conventional much of the time, hadn't been in "not boring" mode when House first came across him, that friendship would never have happened. Blythe is the same, and of course they both accept him for who he is, even if Wilson nags him all the time.
