To me horror movies peaked in the 80's, but I'm actually looking forward to Sam Raimi's 'Drag me to Hell'. I've always thought Raimi's Spiderman movies went from so so to blah, but His 'Evil Dead' stuff is exceptionally good - The 1st was shot on about $50000 USD over a few years, and still scares me - no matter how many times I watch it.

I personally think Raimi peaked with Spider-Man 2, which was extremely good. Spider-Man 3 was awful though.

I thought 2 was ok, excellent casting for Doc Oc, could have done without Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst. IMO those two leads have as much chemistry as two inert metals. Spidey 3 was dire, flat, convoluted and just not good. If only the studio had let Raimi alone I'm sure it would have been a much better movie.

I've also been disappointed with the villains chosen, the lack of classic Spidey villians is a real suprise, as Spidey has so many cool villians - Vulture, Scorpion, Rhino and Electro and the Lizard (to name a few), all of which would have been so much better than Venom.

Is it time for a reboot yet?
