WV and you
WV is kind of a weird character, so I thought I'd just make some notes
Q: Does WV have a name?
A: Maybe? But the only carapace who is ever given an actual name, rather than a title is Jack Noir.
WV has been given a number of titles (Wandering Vagabond, Wizardly Vassal, etc.) but these aren't things he would recognize as being his title. If anyone asks, he'll just call himself the mayor of Corn Town, or simply the Mayor.
Q: Can WV talk?
A: He is probably capable of speech. However, in canon, neither he nor any other carapace is given any direct dialogue, just a description of what message they are conveying. As for WV in particular, he doesn't seem to have even this level of verbal interaction with John when they are face to face; there's no indication of him speaking to John at all. Since all of his significant interaction is through typed messages, I'll just be playing him as a character who is silent, but will type messages unless something comes up in Homestuck to contradict this.

A: Despite what some icons may show, WV is always in wrapped in dirty old gray rags and is wearing a sash made of cables with an altered "MAYO" label stuck to it.
