All Hail!

At least in my area.

Writing away on a video game blog on a cloudy day and a spattering of rain starts. The spattering soon grew louder and the raindrops I noticed looked kind of ... large.

Going to my balcony, I see the fat raindrops splatting down on the cement/stucco and then the splatting became crashing and the raindrops became pellets blanketing an expanse of the 3rd floor...

Yep hail once more has come to So Cal. At least this is the first time I've seen hail in close to 20 years. Last time, I remembered it being around 5pm darker and it was the backyard patio hosting the feast of ice.

The surreal thing is that even cloudy, the sun still poked through. So what I usually call a sunshower turns into a sunhailer.

My water heater must have the pipe go to the roof, because I hear the staccato of hail pings traveling down. So stereophonic hail symphony.

And now it's stopped. Surreal but memorable. All hail.
