You're older than you've ever been and now you're even older

Hey world, how's your ding dong hangin?

I'm doing well. I have the whole weekend off for my birthday, which is exciting. I'm turning 26 years young. This is the year I start using "years young."

My 25th year on earth was pretty up and down, but tonight, my last night as a early-mid-20's lady, I'm satisfied. These are some things that happened during my year:

I watched a lot of movies, including new favorites. The ones I can name easily (I'm old now and only remember things I've seen recently) include Pineapple Express, Penelope, The Visitor, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Iron Man, Son of Rambow, The Fall, Hamlet 2, Frozen River, Rachel Getting Married, Religulous, Changeling, Slumdog Millionaire, The Dark Knight, Foot Fist Way, JCVD, Coraline in 3-D. I may have cheated and looked up 2008 movies on Wikipedia, but there you have it. I have three in my possession that I think I'll like but haven't watched yet - Milk, Let the Right One In and Happy-Go-Lucky. And I still need to see a lot of the big titles, like Gran Torino, The Wrestler, Role Models, Synechdoche, New York, and Che.

I watched a lot of TV shows, including new favorites: Summer Heights High, The Shield, East Bound and Down, among others.

I read a lot of great books, including The Watchmen, Middlesex, The Man Who Fell In Love with the Moon, among others.

I got a PS3 and love Blu-ray and video games now.

I got a couple gray hairs and I don't plan on hiding, plucking or dying them.

I rode my bike a few times.

I ate a whole lot of pineapple.

I signed up for school.

I got married and went on a honeymoon.

I voted.

My goal as a 26 year old is to feel 26.
