Maggots? Clockwork Orange eyes held open trauma?
*Flips Kripke off while going to the bathroom to barf my guts out*
Two of my biggest squicks right there. I totally watched this episode with my hands over my face moaning "I can't watch, I can't watch...too GROSS....EW EW EWWWWWWW!" I haven't done that since the damn garbage disposal scene in Home.
I don't have any deep thoughtful reactions. Well, that's not accurate. I do. But I think I need to go barf again & lay down.
Brief observations...
Jesus Fuck the lighting of this episode made Dean even more tragically beautiful than he was. JESUS FUCK.
Sid & Nancy. Oh Dean...
Thank you for showing Dean is good at his job. Putting bits & pieces together. Being clever with the chloroform & the blow up dolls.
Bela. "I'll see you in hell." I think she got a far more interesting & harsher end than I expected.
Dean? Eternal life? Thanks, but no thanks. And Sam trying so hard to grasp that last straw, willing to take the "magic pill" too if that's what it takes. I have a bunch of different Christ like biblical passages all going oooh look look look in the back of my head. Dean refusing the temptation of eternal life. Afraid of dying, going to hell, desperately wanting to have that cup taken from him, but unwilling to do so if that means Sam dies again. Even now, terrified out of his mind, he's unwilling to sacrifice Sam. That my friends is love. True no holds barred love.
And the previews for next week? Oh Dean. Oh Sam. Oh Boys.
My Show. Kripke you bastard, I know you're gonna rip my heart out next week.
