I hope he doesn't get sick. It's hard to blame him though, your pie is fast becoming world-famous and with good reason.

i had the same inkling of worry for a moment, but no, he's fine. this isn't the first time that he's eaten a large quantity of my apple pie--he's a "fan"... lots of sugar energy, but really none the worse for it.

My money was on Quiver, since she was coveting it in the photograph you posted.

I suspect Arrow was out of frame quietly plotting to take advantage of the window of opportunity presented by the humans going out to get food.

Very tricksy canine.

he ate all my hard work--the woven lattice!

I know! It was beautiful. I've never done a woven lattice top on a pie.

my apple pie is probably the most labor-intensive one. all that apple peeling and caramel making and lattice weaving.

then today he devoured several peanut m&ms... and tonight he knocked three of his dog tags clean off while hurdling at warp speed through the doggy door!!

DOH!

Bad dog! Just for that, no ice cream!

i heard that a la mode just "ruins" my pie anyway because no ice cream is really up to the standards of my baking. ;)
