I'm not sure what to think when it comes to the recent flooding. In 7th period my teacher put on the news and this annoying white kid just started running his mouth about how the person being interviewed had an okie dialect. The guy on the news was like 19 and shouting about finally getting his hands on some fresh water and blaming President Bush about the current affairs. It's not Bush's fault, I'll give him that. They were given a 3-day warning and had time to evacuate, but chose not to for some reason. If I were given such an order the first thing I would think was "And where do I go to?" But the class didn't ask themselves that. They were to busy making fun of the kid on the screen. But honestly, with Katrina gone why is there even hesitation about sending troops to aide the survivors? People are stealing clothes from collapsed department stores, gun shots can be heard in the air. People are dying and they decide to take Sean Jean jackets. I just think that's insane. And then only 1/4 people had flood insurance -- what a screw over.
