because this carries more weight than a mere away message
reasons today SUCKED:
1. 5 hours in the student health care system
2. i missed all my classes
3. they dilated both my eyes, so I'm having trouble focusing and have to wear thos dorky paper sunglasses for the rest of the day
4. the real doosy: being told that i may never get to wear contacts again because they've fucked up my eyes (but only a little point of fuck-up on the cornea)
reasons I'm not letting it get me down:
1. walter comforted me when i was freaking out about it
2. caitie willingly walked all the way to come an get me so that I didn't get run over for the mere fact that the car was coming from the west (dilated eyes, sensitivity to light, etc.)
3. my opthamolagist is way cute
4. i missed all my classes today with a legit excuse
5. Liz calling me to make sure I was okay as soon as she saw my away message
My mom's going to be talking to my opthamologist at home about getting a second opinion from someone who knows my eyes (he's been treating me/fitting me for glasses and contacts for about ten years). All hope is not lost, and if I have to stick with glasses until LASIK is more reliable, so be it. I won't let this get me down, but needless to say, I'm pretty fucking upset.
