funny story
so i'm at Olive Garden getting some dinner with my mom, about to leave when i hear my phone ring. i didn't recognize the number so i let it go to voicemail. when we get in the car, i listen to my mailbox and the call was from Nicole (it was her new number) and this is what she says:
"Hey Lady! I really like your new ringback tone, it's very regal and classy. I feel like I should be wearing a powdered wig. Anyway, I was just calling to see if I could swing by your house and pick up my iPod. Gimme a call back..."
i laugh at this because a) it's funny and b) it makes no sense to me since my ringback tone is The Supremes.
then i tell my mom what Nicole said on the message and she laughs and says, "yeah, it does." and i say, "but my ringback tone is 'Baby Love' ", and she laughs again and says, "no, it's not. here lemme play it for you."
so she calls my phone and it's like some Mozart or Beethoven string piece and we just start hysterically laughing. she tells me it's been like that for at least a month or two and that she thought i did it because of the wedding (???). there's no way i would put a Mozart or Beethoven song on there, not because i don't like them, on the contrary, i love those guys. i'm a secret classical music fan. it would just never occur to me to do that.
so i call Nicole back and tell her the story and she confirms that indeed i have had that as a ringback tone for quite some time. no one said anything, not even Dave. i don't know how it happened, but i find it pretty funny considering what Nicole said about the powdered wigs.
i might even keep it cause it cracks me up. i know i'm probably the only person who thinks that's funny, but i can't help but laugh about it.
