[Mitsuhide is sat in his room. He is clean now; the soaked clothing discarded in favour of new garments and his skin scrubbed free of (almost) every speck of paint. His shamisen, the twin to the one owned by Motochika, is in his hands.]
I am told that today is a day to express what we are thankful for, Lord Motochika. There is little I can tell you that you do not already know, however.
[A small smile.]
So instead, I decided I was ready to play.
[He does so, crafting a song on the instrument in his hands. It's a gentle, relaxed tune, well practised over the past two months. A perfect display was what he had wanted to demonstrate, and while it is not that, it is clear how much effort he is putting in. This is important to him.]
