But I like the new JYJ single. Even some of America likes it. I am talking about Hip Hop & R&B fans. Of course there are a few people here who don't like it simply because 1: It has to do with Kanye West. And 2: It has to do with Kanye's new style of music, and working with artists that the mainstream audience hasn't heard of.
And the THIRD group of people who don't like it so far: KPOP fans. I really shouldn't be shocked. I don't know if they hate Kanye more, or the group more.
Much like anything I listen to with Kanye West, I have to listen to it a couple times to really appreciate it. The beat is boss. Kanye wants the best for you, but better for him(a new kanye quote I will have to steal at some point). The song is in fucking english which is great because now what they are saying, and what it is about without having to look up a translation.
I remember hearing that JYJ is a break off from an old group that was far more popular, however you don't see me caring about that.
Yes I am willing to be biased and say that I like this a lot because Kanye Produced it, and yes because Kanye rapped in it. HOWEVER, it doesn't change the fact that this group has been getting pooped on for a while, so if it took an outspoken lyrical genius asshole (AKA my hero) like Kanye West to grant them some recognition for a good track, then do what it takes to get good. Fuck...I'm patiently waiting for Kanye to do a track with Big Bang. THEN my life will be complete.
EDIT: I just noticed that the melody for JYJ's new single has some similarities to Flashing lights.
