I mailed off eight intership applications today (ten more are due later, and the days right before Nov. 15 will be unpleasant, but because there's a lot of overlap among applications it should be downhill from here). My last recommender did not get his letters to me until 4:20, I had trouble figuring out how to make a pdf in Word 2007 (I HATE Word 2007), and lacking a staple remover I ended up reprinting a 30-page application in triplicate because I had misspelled "Massachusetts" on page 13, so I had to go to the post office that's open until 7:00. But they are gone.

I have a cold. I'm thinking it's not unrelated.
