[It was hard to see anything on the screen, so it might lead one to believe this was only an audio clip. Quiet breathing, the sounds of cooking in the background and the small clatter of dishes.. perhaps a murmur of 'needs more salt

[The cook quickly stumbled back as the girl came tumbling out from the cupboard, an elaborate string of curses slipping out as she brought the pot au feu he'd been preparing with her. Luckily he hadn't begun to cook it yet or she could've been seriously injured but that didn't make the fact that the raw ingredients were now scattered across the floor.
It took him a moment to catch up with what just happened and for a good few seconds he could do nothing but stare in wide-eyed disbelief. And then his gentleman nature finally kicked in - he turned his attention to the strange girl, voice laced with shock and concern. ]
[Wincing, she hadn't been expecting that fall and pushed her hood back to wipe her face. That food she hit on her way down? It was now all over both the floor and some had splashed up onto her. Looking up when she heard someone speaking, she blinked before--]
Y.. yes, I'm okay but-- Oh gosh, I'm so sorry! [Looking at the mess in a panic now.]
Ah, don't worry about that! I'll clean it up, it's no problem.
[If she hadn't been so obviously female the cook would've raged and ranted right about now - wasting that much food just wasn't okay and even though he could probably still use some of it the loss would be far more than he was ever comfortable with.
But this was a girl after all and so he couldn't even be slightly annoyed. Instead he offered her his hand so she could at least get off the floor.]
...do you mind if I ask you just what the hell you were doing in there?
But you were making it for a reason so.. [She genuinely looked upset, but took offered hand and stood, before looking fairly confused.]
I'm not.. sure, to be honest. I was on a mission with Roxas, but the next thing I know I'm falling. [Pauses, then looks up and looks around for a window.] This is Twilight Town, right?
[Well damn. He'd heard of newcomers coming in at strange times or inconvenient places but this was the first time someone had actually arrived inside a piece of furniture - that he knew of, of course. No wonder she seemed confused.
He shot her a warm, comforting smile, mind frantically trying to remember the best way to break this kind of news to someone covered in canned carrots.]
I'm sorry Miss, but you're a long way from home. This is a town called Discedo.
Oh! Discedo again! [She may be covered in canned carrots but she looked much less surprised than he may have been expecting. Wiping some of the carrots from her sleeve, she smiled a little weakly. His smile was nice, but she's sure she had never met him the previous time.]
I was here before.. um, is the weather still bad? I remember a blizzard just ended. [It's hard to tell here in the kitchen how the weather outside was since the room was fairly comfortable itself.]
[Oh. Well then. A returnee. That did explain a lot and made his job a hell of a lot easier, even though it took him a few seconds to back up from the usual newbie introduction routine. ]
A blizzard? Ah, that must've been... two, maybe three weeks ago?
That's awfully strange, I should have been gone for at least a month.. [Biting her lip with a worried look, she's trying to get how that could even happen.]
Time works in strange ways around here. Two months back home can be pressed into three days.
[He shifts his weight a little, uncertain of what to do not that she's somewhat caught up with the events. He doesn't know her after all, can't recall seeing her before. Hell, he doesn't even know her name - but at least that is easily fixed.]
Will you be alright..? Can I get you anything, Miss..?
[Nods at the question and starts to shake her head at the second one.] I should be alright, I should find out who is still here-- Oh! I'm sorry for not introducing myself.. [Smiles gently.] My name is Xion.
[Looks back at the mess and bites her lip, then starts to take her gloves off.] But first, I'm going to clean this up.. do you need help getting ingredients again?
[He quirks an eyebrow at the offer. Not because it's strange or that she didn't have anything to do with the mess in his kitchen, but simply because she's... well, a woman. There's no reason for her to do this when he's around, is there?]
Please, don't worry about that! I'll take care of it... besides, I'm sure you have a lot of catching up to do. It's always a little disorienting when you come back, isn't it?
A little but I still feel responsible, so this is the least I can do after messing up the meal! I'm no good at cooking so I wouldn't be of any help if I offered to get you back to where you were. [Sheepish smile, she's pocketing her gloves and moving to roll her sleeves up. Pauses briefly with a light blink.]
Oh, just Xion is fine, there's no need for the miss! Um, what's your name? [Light smile, she's already going to move and find a rag.]
[Well... the girl apparently couldn't take no for an answer. This was starting to turn into quite a dilemma - would it be better to do the work himself and continue to argue with her or should he just claim this as a lost battle and move on?
He pauses, a crooked smile spreading across his features.]
Alright... if you insist.
[And he'll just start by picking up the utensils, before moving over to find a dustpan to scoop up the spoiled food with.]

...oi. Are you alright, Miss?
