The Fantastic Random
Random things have been coming at me right and left, and every direction. So I met this guy Max line dancing. He had an extra ticket to Burning Man. I was talking to people before I met him, flirting with the idea of going. He convinces me and now we are going. (Random) I applied to be part of his camp, Snuggle Town, and the head lady called me and said I was officially accepted!! (which allowed for a huge dance around the house and a much needed study break from physics) I went to Ashland Oregon for the Shakespeare festival- but could only go there for the weekend b/c of summer school (bah physics and evolution) so took the plane. I met some cool guys on the way to Portland and when I was walking out of the gate with them I hear this "LAUREL!" and there is the really cute guy that was with me on my trip to Costa Rica!! I never thought I'd see him again! And dang, he was looken fine. ;) so we talked and now are e-mailing all the time. (again random) While in Ashland I end up going to a few plays by myself, for my family had tickets for a later showing that I would otherwise miss, and while digesting what I saw I wander into this shop. I happen to mention Burning Man and they unveil this whole window dedicated to it! (cawinky-dink? I think not!)I met this awesome lady there, where we spent the day trying on all these fantastic wigs- I got two a green and purple long hair. That night we had a nice dinner, so I of coarse wear my purple wig- and the audience goes wield! Ashland was fun- though I forgot to bring something else nice to wear for this other dinner we had with friends, so I just tied a scarf around my chest and had a makeshift shirt (this actor lady said it looked totally hot!) But the randomness continues- I keep running into people that tie into Burning Man some how. Like this lady in a bead shop, she told me about this tent that is really cool and when I told Max about it, he said he was just looking at it online and that it was one he wanted to see! I also met this girl in physics that works at the sex shop here in town, that totally hooked me up with some fun costume stuff and massage oil/cream! She also is a friend of my good friend as we realized when we both went up to hug him. Small world!!
Last weekend I took the train home, wearing my green wig. It was awesome. It gives people an excuse to talk to you. I met some really neat women that had just come from this amazing dinner (I was drooling trying to read physics as they wrote down their never ending menu on a hear rest cover) and they shared their chocolate with me that the restaurant gave them when they left (hand made truffles!) I spent the weekend with Max organizing stuff for Burning Man, but then had to take the train home Sunday evening so was only in Davis for a bit. When Max picked me up at the train station, he loved my wig, and said he had to get one- so I got him one but in red that I found in SC- the exact one he wants totally...randomly! Great mother of our world I swear we are all connected.
I have to get my random ass to bed now- to dream more random vivid dreams of a place I have never been! And wake up early to read the physics that I was supposed to read tonight, but just had to watch Team America with the housemates- oh the housemates I have a fun story about hanging with them too, but I'll tell it the next time. Oh and to report about boys, and cousins…. Hasta and good night!
