The Day I Want To Die (The Day, Not Me)

1) As a rule, I tend to find arguing with Creationists to be almost as onerous as cleaning up after my dog barehanded. That's because, and I'm sorry if I'm being repetive, the vast majority of Creationists think that because they think that the Bible is 100% true, that's a superior replacement to actually learning about biology and other sciences ( Read more... )

1) Agreed.

That comic is called Something Positive, easily one of the best webcomics out there, in my opinion. The story leading up to the strip I linked you to had a haunted house made by Christians that wasn't really a haunted house, but one of those stupid "trying to convert you" things trying to use shock techniques. The older guy, who is the main character's father, had gone expected a regular haunted house but then refused to leave without getting his money back when it turned into one of those stupid haunted houses. I highly recommend this webcomic in general but I think you might like that particular strip.

2) Can't comment on stuff I know nothing about, especially art.

3) I love my cell phone and would be very sad if I didn't have it. That being said, I try and be respectful to those around me while talking on it and don't use it at the movies or when I'm eating and if I get a call I need to take, I take it outside or somewhere where people are not.

4) I'm glad you numbered this. Lists are fun.

1)I remember something positive about that place... I especially liked the hill-billy treant. It's a tragedy that I didn't have a nightstick-shaped clue to take to this stupider-than-crap moron who wrote a book saying how a) radiometric dating doesn't work because it can't be used to date Hawaiian basalt that was laid down the month before, nevermind that radiometric dating used to date volcanic rocks can't give readings more accurate than + or - 1.5 million years, and b) his faith in God won't let him wrap his peanut-like head around the fact that a landslide can kill a herd of Iguanodon dinosaurs, and still not be enough to affect the annual (worldwide) rate of sedimentation average of about 2 millimeters.
4) Unless the song specifically teaches the listener(s) about counting and or numbers, I abhor songs that count.

Oh yeah, that comic is great. If you ever have about a million years free, I'd go back and read the archives. It's wickedly funny and sometimes serious.

Though, it's my opinion that that one page lambasting Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Girls was done simply because the artist was jealous.
