I'm VERY proud to be an American today (sleepy, but proud..)

though, i'm STILL waiting to see if i'm a proud North Carolinian, to
bad my vote didn't count...=)

My oldest nephew Anthony voted this election... I'm a HAPPY aunt right now!!

I promise I was very much joking. I wanted to make it clear to the people who have told me in the past "NC will always be a red state why even vote!"

I don't (and didn't) listen and ALWAYS voted.

You need to read the post I just made to answer the school question. I do have lots more free time now, at least until I start working on campus in the CAGIS department doing fun, environmental GIS research, yay

I will by all means read your post about your school situation.

I have no doubt that being in an academic environment makes you
more aware of the political situation.

I've voted since I was 18, however it's only been the past
couple of elections that i've been detailed and looked at
EACH candidate. it's always so easy to clump them into 1
category and be done with it.

I actually like McCain as a Senator, but I don't think he
would be a good president.

and YES we are much over due for a Get Together...=)

How's Rock Band going...what's your favorite song??

Its very hard to pick a favorite in Rock Band. We've got the second one now but haven't gotten very far in it yet, and we haven't gotten any of the new instruments yet either.

For singing, I really like Journey's "Anyway you want it" because I've always loved singing Journey songs. Blondie's "Call me" is also a lot of fun.

For guitar, there are so many I couldn't begin to pick one. Garbage's "Why do you love me?" is quite fun, so is Duran Duran's "Hungry like the wolf". I also really like Sixx AM's "Life is beautiful", and a song by Muse that I can't remember the name of right now.

Let me know when the next get together is. I'm pretty starved for social interaction.

I have also been a fan of Journey too, maybe you
guys can be the evening's entertainment! I can give you
two a feather Boa and assorted accessories, but "oh dear"
WHAT will YOU wear...LOL

Yes, since this election I think we could all do for
some healthy conversation..and ROCK OUT of course.

That's sounds very doable! I'd love to have other people try it out too though, and maybe make a few more people addicted to the game heehee. Its fun to watch others but it would probably get old after awhile.
