and no, I'm not kidding. Thank the powers that be that he was wearing his helmet...because if not, he wouldn't still be here....
He was apparently racing another bike on I-95 and he hit a patch of sand....he managed to hit the ONLY TELEPHONE POLE ON 95 that had JUST been put in...and he cracked the damn thing in half. My boy doesn't to anything half-assed.....
They air lifted him to the hospital in Melbourne where they discovered over time that his right foot was broken, as well as his right leg and right arm....so was his pelvis, backbone, and collarbone and possibly a fracture in his face because his eyes are purple....also, his right lung is collapsed and he may never re-gain the use of his right arm....
It was SO HARD seeing him there today, and seeing his mom and Sue....I told him that he wasn't supposed to try to compete with me for medical problems, and he actually tried to laugh...but the breathing tube in his throat prohibited it.
At least he knew I was there.... :o(
One of my best friends is suffering, and I would give my eye to save him...
He looked SO small lying there in the hospital bed in ICU...and I felt SO helpless....
But I wanted everyone to know so they could send their well wishes and positive energy his way...because it looks like he'll be there for at least a month longer...
