Caveat: I have to admit that given my bi-weekly school cycle between feeling stressed and angry to feeling hopeful and awesome (and this being on the stressed side of the cycle) I've been looking forward to this new Supernatural episode as the shining light of sanity signaling the end of my angry and frustrated mood.
And I will say success!
Really really liked this episode. Not just because it was funny in parts (better than I expected since the Hell Hounds irritated me first time around) but because as a whole the episode could be seen as a "Outside Point of View" story.
I need to re-watch before writing more, but for the time being, as usual, the parts that really got to me were all sentimental (seriously I teared up while listening to Radio Lab yesterday, I need to get out more) so for now I give you where the heart is...
* Ed's genuine moment of appreciation with Dead Intern Corbett.
* The Boys aside about 2 months left to live which leads Dean to compare the Morton Mansion to the Grand Canyon.
* Sam emoting about loneliness as a rationale for human taxidermy/ghostly murder (in which I read Sam saying "I know about loneliness myself ill-fated Deano, it can lead you to do crazy crazy shit).
Also, because it fits the mood, the AV Club's Cult Movie Column just did a thoughtful review of the one that started it all.
Blair Witch Project Ho! Oh! And how does
this quaint B&B feel about accusations of chronic haunting and murder?
