Thanks! I just had this idea in my mind of forests and magic and love as a tree...and the poem sprang from there. Ideally, I'd like the rhythm to be a lot cleaner, and I don't like the chorus that I have right now, but it was late at night; I didn't go to bed until 3:30am. I spent pretty much all last night just chiseling away at it. Like I said, I haven't written in FOREVER so I needed to write something down! I just wanted to finish it, and maybe I'll refine it later. I'd welcome any comments to that end!
Also: you write good poetry, miss submitted-a-book-of-poems-to-a-contest! So you *can* write! But thanks for the encouragement! <3
