I donno about anyone else, but I feel like '06 is starting off pretty damn well.
The second Thursday of each month is designated by the
"Anime" Meetup group as meeting night. But last Thursday was a blast! We crammed the back of the diner, almost two dozen people, at a meeting that on average draws 7-10 people. It got better, though; I lucked out when one of the late-comers descided to fill the empty seat next to me. We chatted about a bunch of anime-related stuff... Turns out, he's the vice-prez of
PAS at "Brooklyn Poly" -- a tech college literally across the street from CityTech, where I'm taking courses part-time!!
Anyway, after the Meetup broke up, I trudged along with Chris (said guy's name) and a few others from his anime club. These guys were first timers on the Meetup scene, so I filled them in on stuff like our almost-weekly Sunday Anime Viewing. In return, they entertained me with stories about the goings-on of their club, trips they've sponsered, shinanigans they've pulled, etc. *biiig grin* Then the DDR freak almong them decides he wants his fix, so we trek up to the Port Authority Arcade and watch this guy breakdance his way to a 18th place high score. No, I'm not kidding! *shakes head, laughing softly* Another story, for another night, besides.
Moving on. Down at Fifth Line, I'm hard at work on the new company website. I spent the weekend noodling around with an animated sequence in Macromedia Flash MX 2004, and guess what? Oyabun liked it! So now its up to me to produce a cover piece in Flash animation for the new website's frontpage. That on top of my duties constructing the rest of the site.
It's not like I'm complaining, though. Heh.
Oh yea, and I also got around to finishing that little gallery project, photo-documenting my new toy in it's other two modes of transformation. ^_^
