I don't believe it. I just don't FUCKING believe it!
Saturday nights are computer maintainence nights; and I always shut my comp down afterward. But this morning, I booted it up only to have WinXP CheckDisk start running on my "G" drive, labled "volume: ANIME1".
By the name alone, I'm sure you can figure out it's level of importance to me.
So, CheckDisk runs and as it does so, it reports (to my dismayed eyes) a long list of corrupted file clusters. Finally it gets done and goes back to booting up WinXP.
Once I'm on the Desktop, I immediately go to check the "G" drive's contents to find out what files have been marked as "corrupted" and are now unaccessable.
Didn't happen. One of the two root-level folders, "Vid clips and epi" was missing. Absofuckinglutely and completely GONE!
That's 52.6 fucking GIGABYTES of various anime episodes. We're talking about DAYS of continuous viewing pleasure, GONE. The entire Yu Yu Hakusho TV series. The Tenjo Tenge and Shadow Skill TV series', the two best Martial Arts/Fighting anime I've had the pleasure of experiancing. Macross Zero and 150+ episodes of Naruto. All gone.
I am beyond pissed.
