Brain dump, of a sort
I just found nearly an entire fic I wrote last July and FORGOT ABOUT. It's Skids/Cyanide from Boy Meets Boy (I vaguely remember going on an archive binge re-read of it because I wanted to read Friendly Hostility) and is pretty decent, though it needs editing/a beta. It even has a title already in the doc. o.O Should try to finish and post it soon, maybe.
Other things that are going on:
My sister got married on Saturday! Which was a mixed bag of emotions, most of them relief that I wouldn't have to be involved in wedding discussion/planning/shopping/schlepping/fighting anymore. XD I have the pictures from it, and people are STILL telling me that I looked pretty :D, so I'll probably post some of those under flock this week. (She looked kind of pretty, too, I guess.)
My Cap/IM shipping is alive and well and probably not just a phase (but don't ditch me yet, SPN people--I still love those boys with most of my being). I can no longer blame tsukinofaerii when I find myself doing things like watching Iron Man cartoons from the 1960s when I should be sleeping or spending way too much money on books and action figures, which is sad because I like blaming her for things. ♥ Meanwhile, clex_monkie89 keeps trying to lure me away from Marvel books and fully over to the DC side of things, and I keep trying to tell everyone that I have no particular party lines when it comes to comics or any other media--I just like what I like. Which, I am beginning to realize, is akin to anarchy in the comics world. XD
spn_j2_bigbang art is chugging along--at a slower pace than it maybe should be, but I always do this, and it always gets done in time. Posting date is July 1, aaaaaaaagh.
Digging Owl City's new album A LOT. I've barely listened to anything else this week. ♥♥♥ Just fulfilled my pre-order on Matt Nathanson's new one (I love the iTunes store so effing much now that I can spend money on things like music), but I'm saving that for tomorrow, when I have to do marathon Bang work or perish trying. D:
Work is work. After nine months, I've suddenly become one of the more senior people on my team, and I also have adult things like my own health insurance and 401(k) plan now--the latter of which I signed up for today, despite my misgivings about its stability. Still totally not ready to be an adult, even though being an adult is supporting my fannish habits and sending me to wincon in October. #doingitwrong
I'm also vaguely thinking about importing/crossposting to DW, but my main sticking point is my desire to keep commenting all in one place, and I'm not ready to abandon LJ after putting so much into it over the past few years. Hmmmmm.
