All right, so. I was too exhausted and sore yesterday to make a post, BUT I am home now and have slept and stuff. \o/ I still haven't seen SPN, so, um, no spoilers? :\ I'll probably watch it in a little bit, actually.
My grandpa's service was beautiful. I only really cried when my mom got up and talked about him, but it was lovely and respectful and all that. He was cremated, thank god, so we didn't have to do a burial or any of that. I don't really know what to say here. I'm just glad he's not suffering anymore.
Um, so we did that and didn't get home until late Friday night, and then we had to be up at school at the asscrack of dawn for graduation. I'm an official alumna of SMU now, y'all. I have a real English degree. How weird is that? There were like forty of us at the English diploma ceremony in the afternoon, and I so didn't realize/remember they were going to talk about me when I got up there, omg. *hides* But, no. It was good. Our keynote speaker at the big morning thing, where they actually confer our degrees (the US national archivist, picked because we're getting the Bush library on campus, which... yeah, not even gonna start on that) kind of rambled and could've been better, I thought, but overall it was beautiful. I cried a little when they played Varsity (our alma mater), of course. Just... some of you've been friends with me and reading my journal for years now, so you know how much I changed and the stuff I experienced and all while I was there, and just... yeah. I'm gonna miss it, politics and all.
Um, so there's that done. And now I'm going to go distract myself. I'll make a locked post with pictures from my graduation tomorrow after I've gotten to sort through them all, which I'm sure y'all are thrilled about. XD
