Music, whining, and more music...

But first, an important video: How To Fake Your Own Death On The Internet. OMG LULZ.

I can't put two songs from the same album on a mix I'm putting out for public consumption, can I? Because I really want both of them on there to express different things, but I have a feeling that that sort of thing is just Not On. It's bad enough that I was already going to have two songs from the same artist on there, but now I have that happening twice in eleven songs and blah, wangst. :P (I'm making this one for House/Wilson, btw, and song-hunting has been an absolute bitch. Does anyone else reading this ship them at all? Do you have any songs that remind you of them?)

On the subject of song recs, cinnamon_sakaki tagged me several days ago to do the seven songs meme. So, here we go!

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs, then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to in absolute random order.

Some picks from my current and recent iTunes playlists! I mostly tried to restrain myself from quoting songs that are also on my sort-of-nearly-finished-except-not-really-because-it's-giving-me-fits H/W mix, so watch for that if you want more of the music I wanted to rec here. Yes, I am silly, we all know this. Moving on.... :D

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars (lyrics)
Oh, I am in love with this song right now. If it were corporeal, I would offer to have its hypothetical babies.

U2 - Miracle Drug (lyrics)
This is my House/Wilson anthem, absolutely. <3 And it's a near-perfect song in its own right and I had it on repeat for a couple of days last week, so it gets to be here despite what I said up above.

Sarah Fimm - Be Like Water (Beauty's Confusion Isolation Mix) (lyrics)
I don't know what it is about this song. It's just got such a lovely, sultry rhythm to it, paired with this clear soprano voice, and it's just wonderful. It has to be this (slight) remix, too; the original is good, but I don't like it half so well as this version.

Fall Out Boy - Dance, Dance (lyrics)
I like Fall Out Boy because they're fun and upbeat, kind of like emo candy. That's a terrible metaphor, but I hope you get what I mean anyway.

Sherwood - Learn To Sing (lyrics)
This song. Is just. Fabulous. Most of what Sherwood's put out is fabulous, actually, and it's all down to my sister that I even know about them. Go forth and listen.

Goo Goo Dolls - Can't Let It Go (lyrics)
This song was clearly written for Mal/Inara from his perspective. Or if it wasn't, it should have been.

The Postal Service - Sleeping In (lyrics)
Ahaha, and I almost got away with not including a Ben Gibbard song! NO SUCH LUCK, OBVIOUSLY. :D

I tag... fuck, I don't know. Just do it. I like seeing what other people are listening to.

Back to flist-reading! I need to start closing some tabs soon, too, before Firefox self-destructs and/or takes my computer hostage. And I need to stop spamming you guys like woah. XD
