Anything to avoid the inevitable...

OMG. Girl Scout day camp is tomorrow. I have to get up at ridiculous o'clock tomorrow, but I'm reading my flist before bed and thought you all should know of my pain. The theme this year is "It's Easy Being Green," so it's all about recycling and protecting the earth and stuff, which is OMG TEH AWESOME, you all know how I feel about proselytizing when it comes to that sort of message. XD BUT the thing my mom and I are doing is teaching the girls how to make recycled paper, which wasn't even our idea, and it will be a miracle if it comes off okay because making paper by hand? Teh difficult and ridiculous. And our T-shirts and hats are camo. With yellow writing on the shirts. YEAH. >.< As was evidenced when I tried it on earlier to make sure it was a proper size on me, there are reasons why I tend not to wear greens and yellows, namely that they're usually hideous-looking with my skin tone. Blah. I do get service hours, though... I need to make sure I actually write them down and remember to report them in the fall this time. :P

Has anyone seen Stay? I watched it last night... omgwtfbbq. Ewan and Ryan Gosling were fantastic in it, but the plot left me with a feeling of "wait... what?" I think I need to watch it again before I send it back, partly for the pretty and partly to see if I get it better the second time, knowing what happens and after watching the commentaries. (Something else strange about this movie: it was pulled from the theaters [at least the ones within a reasonable radius of here] after only a two week run, meaning it probably wasn't making enough money to sustain itself, yet the only ad slapped on the DVD was a PSA against pirated DVDs. Bzuh? I don't think there were any ads/trailers on the Serenity DVD, either... is this a new trend, or just a coincidence that possibly reflects on my choice of movies? XD)

Next on my queue is the first season of House. I am slightly afraid of watching the show that ate a portion of my flist, even though that's also the reason I was intrigued by it. Man, one of these days I have got to learn how to just say no to peer pressure. XD

This song is SO Mal/Inara, omg. And it's just an awesome song, period. Listen!

My stupid allergies are acting up again, and I have to get up in a little over six hours. Time for bed!

ETA: Oh yeah and OMG NEW LAYOUT, because the old one had been up since mid-February and I could not look at it one more second. The S2 compiler seems to be slightly broken, though; for some reason, it amuses me immensely that I reported something no one knows how to fix. It even got shifted from Style Systems into Issue Investigation, which I assume is the place where the Support people put all the "huh, that's odd" type of problems. Paid people who use the compiler, anyone else having a problem with it?
