STOP HOTLINKING MY ICONS, DAMMIT.
Not you guys, unless you're a perpetrator I've not found yet... I was looking at usage stats for my domain, more specifically the site referrers, and I found out my icons are apparently semi-popular among angsty teenage girls and/or HP fans, probably because they're easily Google-able. They're hotlinking all over the place, of course--which, granted, isn't a huge amount of bandwidth (especially since the majority of those are Xanga or MySpace sites that probably almost no one looks at), but it was still more traffic than I'm used to seeing.
WTF? Where do these people even come from? WHY CAN'T THE YOUTH OF THIS COUNTRY BE BOTHERED TO GIVE CREDIT OR SPELL CORRECTLY?
I COULD block hotlinking, of course. I COULD block search engines from accessing my images. However, the first action point would defeat half of the purpose to me even having my own domain (to be able to store random shit such as images when necessary), and the self-effacing part of me fears that the second would cut down on my traffic so as to make the other half of that arcane purpose (showing off, of course) almost completely obsolete.
So, basically, it is just a self-perpetuating cycle of EVIL and HELLFIRE and DOOM OMGWTF. sjiwdhqwidhqiw3h8q3y38q
I have to get away from the comp now so I can get my shit together and go finish studying for my test that I have to go take with my head all muzzy and me snorking up mucus, what a lovely image. At least the ibuprofen mostly took care of the pounding headache and some of the pain from the sore throat. BLAH.
