People who slam Bukit Brown seriously get on my nerves so bad.
Just posted something really long on George Yeo's Facebook photo. Couldn't hold it in.
I need to learn how to put across my point and speak diplomatically. Urgh.

Anyway, I'm here to document my Good Friday weekend - was one of my best.

Had good ramen at Raffles Place, then spent Thursday night at Sauce after the concert - midwings + quesadillas + luncheon chips + fries + Asahi + good company.
Reached home at 2, woke at 5 to head over to Lim Chu Kang.

My aunts were surprised to see me. I hadn't been to the cemetery in so long.
I don't know what got into me the past few years, to be so disrespectful not to visit my grandma. Anyhow, it was great. It was like a family gathering.
I think for the first time, I really connected with them.
Of course save for the usual fawning over the brother and hardly noticing I was there after a while. Used to it, I guess. Sadly, I grew up in a patriarchal family, on both sides. But these are my circumstances and I accept them, amongst many other things.
All the same, headed to the temple after that to pay respects to the granddad.
Then over to my aunt's for popiah.
Volunteered to learn the recipe since my aunt's maid would be heading home next year for good. Plus how to cook red chicken meesua. Hahahaha. Would be fun :)
Headed home to sleep, then headed to Joo Chiat with my parents for bakkutteh + steamed fish.
Then walked the entire circumference of Marina Bay for the first time.

Saturday. IKEA lunch with Novabelle and family. Meatballs + poached salmon + soft ice cream. <3333333
Shopped for convo ball, then headed to her place and watched Overheard. Was damn good.
Then watched some dumb Jay Chou show called Viral Factor. That was really bad.

Sunday. Went to have breakfast with mum and dad for the first time in years.
Shall do that more often now.
Whampoa Market is seriously damn awesome.
Old school bakery with damn good fresh-from-the-oven bread, so much better than Breadtalk.
Some super good tauhuay and soya bean milk, traditionally made by sieving the milk with a huge hammock-like cloth. So much better than Mr Bean and Lao Ban.
Coffee that was stirred with a wooden coffee maker, amazingly smooth and so much better than Starbucks.
Wet markets with ridiculously colourful fruits, veggies and flowers.
And lor mee :D
Love the place.
Then headed to ECP to cycle despite the bad headache.
Was great. Cycled for three hours from Marine Parade to Changi Airport and back, but felt like I could still go on. Knocked into railings twice. Hahahahaha. But my cycling has improved since cycling on ice in Sweden. Can't wait to go again :)

The boss had lunch with me today.
Said she was happy with my progress.
Said she would help me speak to Chester about full-time.
Said she would entrust JapanKoreaTaiwanHongKong to me.
Said she would push for me to go to Philly for the meeting in mid-June.
OHMYGAWD :D
and quote her. "do you like drinking? cos if you do, you would enjoy it very much."
Not that I do, but hahahhahahaha.
