First Post of New Journal And...

Apr 28, 2007 22:44

Meh.
I am not feeling very creative right now.
It's kind of late, 10:47 to be exact, and I'm just... chilling.

Procrastinating, you might say.
I don't really want this day to end yet...
But I'm too...er... Confused? To squeeze anything useful out of what little remains of the day.

Bright start to my new journal, hm?
~laughs somewhat oddly~

I surpose I should post pictures of my garden, but my garden isn't really that pretty right now. I suppose I shall post when my new fence is finished, for that will be pretty. It's going to be (can you guess?) Watermelon red.

And not pink.
I don't do pink.
That often.

This year, I've tried to grow:

Strawberries (Sequoia) ~ They're fine, if not in need of a watering. Lazy me.
Spinach (?) ~ It's been eaten by the rats. And it's dry too. Lazy me.
Radishes (?) ~ It's also dry and been eaten by the rats. Lazy me.
Potatoes (Varied) ~ I've gotten about two or three red potatoes and I am now growing white and purple ones too. Dry, but unharmed.
Peas (Sugar Snap) ~ They've been gnawed on, but are persisting against my pest problems. Dry as bones.
Carrots (No Idea) ~ Oddly untouched. So many plants in that durn pot I can't really see the state of the soil---okay I haven't looked.
Tomatoes (Celebrity?) ~ The tomatoes are alive, but dry, and all actual fruits/veggies/whatever have been nabbed by the rats.
Blueberry (?) ~ Fine, fine, except for that nasty weed that's springing up again.
Cherry (From Brazil, I know that much) ~ Flourishing without any help from me! Soon I will plant it in the ground and get cherries. Maybe.
Catnip (?) ~ Just dandy! Like they say, it's growing itself.
Mint (?) ~ Er, growing, but not exactly flourishing. Still, unmolested. That's a bonus.
Dill (?) ~ Unmolested and growing fine, just wait to laugh when I describe trying to dry my herbs out.
Watermelon (Sugar Baby, of course) ~ Wait, what watermelons?! I wish.

That's for outside.
Inside I've got a mini greenhouse hosting a veritable army of plants... most of which I cannot remember, and for the non-gardeners will not go into. In the future, this is probably going to be mostly about the garden, though. And I can tell you I have at least three different kinds of tomato plants in the mini greenhouse. Huzzah, now I only need a place to plant them.

My fingers are getting tired and I want to see what this looks like posted, so...

'Ta!
