so yesterday, mo and i were debating about the top five films on our list. we both agreed about putting LOVE ACTUALLY on the top of our lists. we debated about cruel intentions and before sunset. well, i love cruel intentions, he hates it. he loves before sunset, i don't. the film's too talkie and i simply don't enjoy talkie films.
anyway, i promised to lend him my copy of chungking express next time we meet. he must see it if he's such a sucker for romance. see, that's another thing i love about him, (not love like you know ha.) he's being real that he loves watching chick flicks! (and hates action films which i hate, too) hey! i used to love chick flicks back when i didn't know about film genres, studio system, marxism, feminism and all those booky theories and film techniques. (guess entering film complicated things ;p) every once in a while, i enjoy seeing them and dream that my love life is something like theirs - and that's what i hate about chick flicks, about the prince-charming-and-me plots - they make you believe that such things are possible.
if i tell the previous paragraph's last sentence, i think we'll be in another debate. guess mo is really about debating. i love the guy, mas trip ko siyang ka-debate kaysa kay bikoy haha!!! although he probably won't remember my name until we shoot another episode again, i'd really treasure it that he sits beside me and makes kwento about a lot of things. and oh! he wants to pursue to law school, too. we're probably on the same wavelength. (and if i pursue the showbiz path, i'd probably pick a fight with CRISTY FERMIN, too!!! awesome!)
and yeah, in case you heard his fight with maui on air, he talked about that too. haha!! but no i'm not going to talk about that here. ;-p

it's funny how i get pressured when someone asks me something i should answer correctly only because i'm a film major. last night, direk ra asked me what the title of truffaut's revisionist film is - the one which introduced jump cuts...we're both from upfi and he simply knows i've seen it too. unfortunately, i don't think the film's too good to be remembered like chungking express or my blueberry nights trailer so it took me 3 minutes to remember it, with pressure yan ha! after some cringing and crunching on my sit, just trying to recall it - it came! BREATHLESS, it is! ha! he almost got me!
i feel good!
