I am sorry for being bitter in the last entry...!!! I think I was so afraid of someone else putting their hands on something I really loved and messing it up... but as Chi said, there are many pros which outweigh the cons. I am relieved.
And I heard Disney borrowed ideas from Jungle Taitei, which became an amazing work called The Lion King, which is the best.
Anyway!!!
I was listening to sound clips on amazon, and I decided to listen to the stuff I listened to as a young teen/tween/even before that, and I was filled with bursting nostalgia.
My age group: basically the days when bubblegum pop was in full rage across the charts.
**Numero Uno: Dream Street -- It Happens Every Time
Totally does it for me. I was so, so, so obsessed, and in a sleepy dreamy lovey dovey state for almost two years, writing fanfiction, going to concerts, going to signings with friends... I almost cried, lol.
**Numero Dos: Hanson -- Thinking Of You/Mmmbop (Hanson songs in general)
Self-explanatory...
**Numero Tres: The Moffats -- Until You Loved Me
It's just so... innocent, and sweet... when the world of romance was just a dream...
"Never knew what love was, till you loved me
Never knew what love was, till you loved me
'Cause it feels so good sometimes
And it feels so bad sometimes
The way you love me, love me, love me, la la la love me..."
**Numero Tres: The Spice Girls -- Wannabe
Every girl I knew liked the Spice Girls. It was all such fun.
**Numero Quatro: The Backstreet Boys -- As Long As You Love Me
This was on Radio Disney all the time... me and my mom would sing along with it in the car. I remember my mom commenting on the song lyrics, how someone should get to know someone before they got married.... wait.
**Numero Cinco: M2M -- Don't Say You Love Me
Just one of those songs.
And that's all I'm going to write about for now.
There's something light and cheery and shallow (well, not necessarily shallow) about bubblegum pop that is therapeutic. I am thinking of buying (some of them, re-buying) all these CDs and blasting them in the car, and scaring people!!!!! YAY!!!!!
