I like girls that wear Abercrombie and Fitch

After taking that designer test, I had thoughts.
Abercrombie and Fitch.
And American Eagle too, for that matter...

Most kids in my ex-school wore A+F or Hollister or other branches of A+F.
But that was because it was the cool brand.
Not because it was like their personal style or anything.

Is it an adolescent thing?

For some reason, I despise name brands. Well, it's not that I despise name brands, it's just I despise name brands written somewhere largely on the item of clothing.

Because name brands written on clothing, instead of celebrating the genius of a designer, and your agreement to it, has just become a label for yourself, describing YOU.

Why does this happen?

The A+F wearer's stereotype: Cheerleader or jock, upper-middle-class, skinny, trendy, partying, superficial, and slightly unintelligent.

That is just the stereotype. I'm not saying all wearers are like this.

Now, this is extremely unfair.
What if I liked a Tshirt which had "Abercrombie" written across the chest in bold letters/colors? Then if I wear it, will I come off as an unintelligent, superficial monkey?
Or perhaps, even someone who was too insecure to wear anything else?
Or a poser?

Unfortunately, Abercrombie and Fitch is marketed to your average upper-middle-class, skinny, trendy, partying, superficial, and slightly unintelligent male or female.

They were actually sued for only hiring caucasian thin and attractive males and females, saying that "that was the image they wanted to maintain."

Another issue is price.
If your whole wardrobe is Abercrombie, that is a LOT of money.
A pair of pants on sale goes for about $50 (regularly $70~$100+).
$50... wtf!!?? (Do you know how many books/CDs I can buy with that??)
I mean, if you really want them... but still...

This creates cliques even outside of school. It creates rifts between the upper and the lower of middle classes.

The power of Abercrombie scares me.

Tell me if any of my opinions clash with yours, or you agree, or whatever.
I'm done.
