My winter recital went well, and everyone said it was a beautiful song.
The only thing I feel bad about is that my teacher and I totally butchered your lyrics, and little is left of the original, though the meanings and actual spirit is still there.
I didn't have to tell you that, but I must, out of integrity. (to which you will think, "integrity your arse!")
But it would not have been possible without you. I said a big "THANK YOU SA!" and I hope you heard it from where you are.
