My weekend:
DANCING
PARTIES
DRIVING
NEW BOOTS
COMMON PEOPLE!
This weekend has been really really busy (which is terribley unusual for me!)
Friday night I met Andre at 7.30 and we went to Swing Shak, which is the social dancing group in Brisbane. Put our newly aquired moves tot he test, and while we had a blast we were put to shame by the amazing dancers there (which we expected). It was great fun. The good dancers are really nice, and happy to dance withthe new people sot hat was good fun.
We left about 10 and I went to Narn's birthday party. It was a Cat in the Hat Party. And Narn had a fantastic hat, and fantastic friends who made her a Cat in the Hat cake. I made an awesome card for her:
Witness the Crafty Awesomeness!
(thankfully Cat in the Hat has just turned 50, so there were some good pictures on the website for me to borrow :D)
I got home around 1ish and went to bed.
On Saturday I wasn't allowed to sleep in, people kept phoning me! Dad told me he'd be over in 15 minutes and so I did have to get out of bed. Dad came over just after 10 and we went for a drive for an hour. I'm getting better. I think its just my confidence that is going to take the longest to get good at. I have a proper lesson in two weeks, so I'm really trying to get my basic driving confident, so we can work on parking and allt he tricksy rules and stuff.
Went to my parents place where I had a chat with Mum, and did some photo printing and editing with her. Alice was coming out with us on Saturday night so we had to find clothes for her (shes So picky!).
Alice and I dropped Mum and Dad at the gym and she drove us to buy red boots for me! Which I am totally totally in love with:
Then I drove home and Alice and I said bye to Mum and Dad (it was a familyish day wasn't it?!)
Hung around for a while. Brendan came home from work and we got dressed and ready to go to Dave's birthday dinner and clubbing.
Gorgeous people:
I was excited because it was the first time I'd been out with my sister :D
Dinner was Laksa, unless, like me, you hate spicy things - I had bbq pork and egg noodle soup. YUM.
Then most of the dinner people (Dave's housemates/friends) went into town and to the Common People, which is the Depot-ish club.
We had an absolutely AWESOME night. So much dancing and good music and good compnay. Brendan and Dave have endedup on the CP myspace because one of the girls who works there was taking photos.
We got home about 3!
Sunday aws quiet for me. I woke Brendan up at 12 and once I convinced him it really was 12 he got reaydy for work and went to work.
Last night I cooked a tomato-y pie with beef in it. YUM. And watched BBC dramas on the ABC.
Uni starts agani today.
Love you all!
