I saw Venus yesterday with Mum. It wasn't quite what I expected from the previews, but was very interesting. Brilliantly cast. Peter O'Toole is a genuinely talented and amazing actor, playing his role with conviction and brilliance. The story - of love/lust for a teenage girl by an old man - is dealt with really delicately. And you can never be sure what it is that is motivating these characters. The young girl who plays the scally teenager isn't outclassed by allthe big names around her.
I would recommend it for its characterisations and portrayals more than the story - although the story is intriguing and very unique.
It was also good to see Mum, she's hobbling around now on her foot, now they've taken the bandage/cast off, but its still sore and she's still determined to over-do it.
This morning I'm at work to get a Fee Proposal off before I go to uni. There are 6 people here today. But three are in a meeting. So its very quiet.
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
