Soooo, update about my meeting with the education director!

We talked for about half an hour at lunch time on Tuesday. She said that she was trying to get in mind people to fill positions that they were anticipating to open sometime soon. She gave me a list of possible positions (can't remember any specifically, haha), but said that they weren't sure exactly what would open up yet, and she wouldn't really be working on it in any real way until they get done all of the educational materials that are actually going to be installed into the galleries in the new museum. So I think I have a few months of waiting before I hear any more about it. Anyway, she asked me what I liked about museum education and other things, and what I would like my career to be like if I could have complete control over its direction, things like that. She also said that kim (the director at my old gallery) had spoken very highly of me, and I know that they are good friends and that kim is a very highly respected member of the art world in sacramento, so that's good for me.

I really hope this works out, and I hope that it turns into a full-time position, not a part time one, because I want to be able to quit the record store, and not have to worry about two jobs, and just devote myself to one thing, and just have a normal schedule.

I'm moving into the condo this weekend. I'm trying to restrain myself from buying loads of house things. Although I did get a new duvet cover, and some storage boxes, and I really need a dresser of my own.

Anyway, that's about it. Really tired in general, annoyed that I have no time to plan anything outside of work.

Although I went with patty to the blue lamp on saturday to see a band that this other art handler at the museum is in. Several people from the museum were there to see her. It was alright, not super fun though. It's always awkward when you work with people all week, and then you see them outside of work with their girlfriends, and their girlfriends act weird and you can't interact with them the way you normally do.

Anyway, that's all
