So I'm leaving for Bulgaria tomorrow. My mother is freaking out, constantly, so at the moment I'm working on calming her down. I guess everyone in our family has a case of seperation anxiety. Which is just all kind of amazing. I get worried because I seem to be the one taking care of all the details and that usually stresses me out a bit, but it's not like I haven't done it before.
I went shopping for a bathing suit thingy yesterday and ended up with these... Things that look pretty damn awesome and colourful. Loads and loads of turqoise. I love that colour. But I ended up spending around 2000 sek, which is like £150? But then again I haven't bought a bathing suit since I was like... 12, so I feel pretty ok with it. I've lost so much weight it's sort of fun to try new clothes and things again. Although the negative thing about weightloss is that all my trousers keep falling off :/ Makes for some... Interesting situations.
BTW Saar, I can't wait to see what I can find there. Plus I wanted to say that I am so proud of you for getting that job-offer (Sorry I didn't comment on your post), although I still say that they would have been stupid not to want to keep you. And I'm so happy to hear your grandfather is doing better. *hugs*
In other less fun news, I found out a few days ago that one of our neighbours, Frank, died. I knew he was in the hospital but I just assumed he'd be fine. He was a big, tough old guy, you know? He started out having fluids in his lungs, because he's always had a pretty weak heart (had a bypass), and then he managed to get pneumonia, which he recovered from. Then he went home for like... A day, had to go back to the hospital because his pneumonia was kicking back in, then he got a stroke, which he survived, but then he ended up getting more fluids in his lungs and then he died. It's just so... Sad. And weird. He's like an institution, he's always been there. He was so sweet and warm and huggable. Just such a wonderful guy. And it's even sadder to think that his wife is all alone now. They never had kids (they wuld have made such great parents) and all they had was each other. And now he's gone. For myself, I don't think it's quite hit me yet. I just hope I don't miss his funeral.
*sighs* Back to regular stuff then... I just finished packing and I have pretty much nothing else to take care of. Hopefully my mum and I will still have a great time on our trip, if she can keep herself from worrying about Christian constantly over the next ten days.
Song of the Day:
Mariah Carey - Bye Bye And it's true that you've reached a better place,
still I'd give the world to see your face and be right here next to you,
but it's like you're gone too soon.
Now the hardest thing to do is say - Bye Bye
