Things you find out when you FINALLY look through your concert-videos...

Sep 19, 2007 06:00

I remember texting Emma and Nettie about when, at the FOB-show in Copenhagen, Charlie (and Dirty) jumped out into the audience with Andy's drumsticks (carrying one each) and he looked me in the eye and handed it to me. (They picked one person each to get a drumstick, and I was one of them (obviously). Well, I was looking through my videos and I came across the one where Charlie jumped off stage with the drumstick (I was filming at the time). And yeah, he was looking at me, he did intend for me to get the drumstick and yes, the girl next to me ripped it out of his hand. He did try to get the drumstick away from her, but she was a bit too fast.

I actually remember him looking at me, apologetically (if you can imagine) and shrugging, because there wasn't anything he could do.

And I still remember what the whole thing felt like. So now I'm all upset/angry again.

This is going to sound so not-well-put-together at all, but it's past 06.00, so I'm excused.

And, I'm sorry, I know the amount of time it's been since you've discovered a band doesn't matter, and all that. And it doesn't, if you're really into them. This girl had listened to them for six months and she only knew the words to 'Arms Race'. I did deserve that drumstick more than she did. It's just how it is.
